Hygeia is a clean, affordable platform that makes women’s wellness products accessible to all whether you're buying for yourself or choosing to sponsor someone else. Built with Next.js, Supabase, and Starknet, Hygeia offers a smooth, wallet-connected experience where users can sign in, connect their wallet, and make payments with ease. Designed to be eco-friendly and inclusive, Hygeia brings essential health products closer to the people who need them without stigma, without barriers. Wellness made simple. Access made equal.
What We Built During the hackathon, we made significant strides on Hygeia — a decentralized platform focused on empowering women by making essential health services and products more affordable. We integrated key Web3 tools to support sponsorships, token-based incentives, and user ownership of health data. Challenges We Faced Designing for Low-Bandwidth Users Many of our target users live in areas with limited connectivity. Ensuring a fast, mobile-first experience became a core challenge, requiring lightweight, responsive design and optimization. Team Coordination Under Pressure As with most hackathons, time was limited. Balancing development, design, testing, and final presentations demanded quick decisions and constant communication. What’s Next Hygeia is just the beginning. We’ll continue to improve the platform in phases, shaped by real user feedback, insights from strategic partners, and the support of our backers. The journey ahead is focused on scaling access, improving features, and building a sustainable Web3 health ecosystem.
Bootstrapped: We have funded the development of Hygeia using our own resources, without external capital. We are currently seeking seed funding to help us scale Hygeia across East Africa, enabling wider access to affordable hygiene products and accelerating our mission to empower women through health, privacy, and decentralized technology.
